We usually feel happy about having children.

Are they, however, feel happy too?...to be in this world?

To experience the harsh life?
To witness the destruction of the Earth?

It just seems like...the world is moving so fast, and right now things are changing so much.

They sure are.
I'll tell you something. It's not gonna be easy for our kids. They'll be going into a different world than the one you and I came into.

Andrea Phillips:

You know, both of our kids are doing great.
It worries me when Denial doesn't take school seriously. He even missed in class.
That could come out...it might would hurt when he's out looking for a job, you know.
The competition out there...
When I was starting out, you can make captain when you put your head down, and just did your work. But the young guy is coming out now. Company want something that is faster and cheaper. Fifty guys are competing for every job.
Everything is different. Big wheel is turning.
You got to be strong to survive that thing.

Hmm...I hear what you're saying.
It gotta be okay, right?

Oh, ya.
They will be okay.
